Cate grew up on both sides of the Golden Gate Bridge and is equally at home in sunshine and fog. She has an MFA in Acting from UCSD/La Jolla Playhouse, studied Theater and Creative Writing at Northwestern, and has appeared on lots of stages and screens. She's a recent alum of the Groundlings Sunday Company.
Cate wrote, produced, and starred in the comedic scripted series Tutored, and created and produced the critically acclaimed short How I Do Math. Her most recent digital short, MATH BRAIN, has over 50K views and counting across all platforms. These projects have been praised by people and places like Amy Poehler's Smart Girls, Shonda Rhimes, Ms. Magazine and WhoHaha, and funded by the Harnisch Foundation.
When she's not acting, you can find Cate tap dancing, watching You've Got Mail for the 75th time, or racking up some serious frequent flyer miles between LA and New York. She also cohosts the weekly Forbes podcast called The Limit Does Not Exist, which champions interdisciplinary career paths. It's been downloaded over two million times on iTunes and has been featured in The Washington Post and AdWeek.
