Cate grew up on both sides of the Golden Gate Bridge and is equally at home in sunshine and fog. As an actress, she has appeared on lots of stages and screens and in many shows as a member of the Groundlings Sunday Company. Cate was recently in the world premiere of a José Rivera play at Geffen Playhouse and you can catch her on the new Nickelodeon sitcom Cousins For Life this winter. As a writer and director, Cate created and starred in the comedic scripted series Tutored and the short films How I Do Math and MATH BRAIN. These projects have been praised by people and places like Amy Poehler's Smart Girls, Shonda Rhimes, Ms. Magazine and WhoHaha, and funded by the Harnisch Foundation. Her podcast The Limit Does Not Exist has been downloaded millions of times on iTunes and featured in The Washington Post and AdWeek.
Cate has an MFA in Acting from UCSD/La Jolla Playhouse and studied Theater and Creative Writing at Northwestern University.
